Principle of use

PDFs are at your disposal to assist you in the creation of technical files in XML format for sending to CSSF and BCL. These PDFs are Dynamic (like the PDF used for the Luxembourg Tax declaration) which fields are editable and the data entered are subject to a first technical check (size, type, number of input data).

Once the report is completed, the encrypted sending process is done through e-file (for more details refer to Déroulement d'un envoi).

PDF Prerequisites

In order to use our PDF, the following requirements need to be validated:

The options are available in the menu : Edit -> Preferences or with the shortcut Ctrl + K.

Sending a report

Fundsquare station

PDF reports are available on our web page fundsquare.net, once logged in with you user account.

  1. Select Online Tools
    from menu
  2. Display your fund tree by clicking the download form bellow Fund information and reporting menu item
  3. Select an instrument
  4. Select the required formular and click the Download button



An intermediate window appears to summarize your selection and allows you to Validate formular download.

The formular appears if all prerequisites are fulfilled.

Formular sending

Each PDF formular contains a Send button.

It performs the necessary controls (mandatory data, several integrity rules) and automatically redirects you to e-file.lu.

It remains to send to authorities by entering your encryption password (common to all users of the same company).

Particular case of securitization vehicles

The S2.14 et S2.15 formulars are available in menu Services > Securitization vehicles of web site Fundsquare.net
The other manipulations remain the same.
PDF prerequisites are to be applied.

Reporting S2.16, S2.17, TPTIBS, TPTBOB, TPTBBS and TAF MiFID

The S2.16, S2.17, TPTIBS, TPTBOB, TPTBBS and TAF MiFID forms are available as well on e-file e-file V2 .
You are accessing your forms with your e-file login.

Users who previously used to enter the form via the Luxembourg Stock Exchange for the TAF reporting are invited to follow the below instructions.

  1. Log on to e-file V2 with your e-file log in credentials e-file V2. Should you not know your credentials, please contact your local e-file Administrator in your organization to reset your password.
  2. Select "Report Generation"

  3. Select the required TAF report you would like to run and continue as you did before.

Best practices

We recommend to always save your PDF on local disk before sending.

This allows you to use this data later and in particular in case of technical problem, to resend the document without having to enter the whole data.

Exemple: if your encryption module is not configured properly, you will just have to open the PDF file and click the Send button.

Solving most frequent problems

Formular signature validation

All our PDF forms are delivered with a security certificate issued by Fundsquare (as Finesti).
At initial use or (after re-installing Adobe Reader), the user has to validate the signature in order to run the scripts responsible for the reports operating.

How can I identify a signature issue?

A blue banner located above the PDF indicates the validity of the certification.
The message in this screenshot indicates a problem.

In addition, error messages at opening or sending of a formular, are other signs of such a failure.

In such a situation, error messages are poping up each time actions, needing specific rights, are performed (connection to our servers, access to local file system to export the XML, ...)

In order to solve this issues, two Methods are possible

Simplified method

Before applying this, please close all PDFs on your workstation.
Download the certificate and open it: Certificat

Once open, click on the "Set Contact Trust" button

  • Download / open a PDF from Fundsquare.net or bourse.lu
  • In left margin, click the pen icon ; "Signatures"
  • Right click on "Signed by Finesti" and select"Show Signature Properties".

  • Click the "Show Certificat..." button in "Summary" tag


The Certificate Viewer page appears.

  • Select the "Trust" tag.


  • Click the "Add to Trusted Identities..." button
  • Select all check boxes
  • Validate by clicking"OK" to return to signature properties window
  • Click the "Validate the signature" button and then "Close"


Note: If "Add to trusted identities..." button is not enabled, please refer to certificate verification procedure in Adobe Reader described here below.

Workaround with Adobe Reader

Cette manipulation est forte utile pour les utilisateurs ayant un bouton 'Ajouter aux identités approuvées' grisé. This procedure is very useful for users whose Add to trusted Identities button is not enabled.
Indeed, direct access from Adobe reader skips a step and allows you to access required options.

  • Start Adobe Reader
  • Select Manage Trusted Identities in 'Document' menu
  • Select the Finesti certificate and click the Détails... button
  • Click the Finesti line and then the Edit Trust... button

Select all options in next window.

This error message appears during form download when :

option Display PDF in Browser, is not selected.

Solving method

  • InAdobe Reader, open the Edition > Preferences menu
  • Select the Internet item
  • Select the corresponding option


Should this option already been selected, we suggest to refer to next sections, and especially compatibility issues between Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat



The download does not finish - Downloading, please wait

An Adobe Reader option is involved if, after more then 2 minutes, the PDF form is not displaxed and the Downloading, please wait message is still running.
Solving Method

  • In Adobe Reader, open the Edition > Preferences menu
  • Select the Javascript category
  • First option Enable Javascript must be selected.

    If this does not solve the problem,
     
  • Select the Security (Enhanced), category
  • The first option activating the enhanced secrurity should not be selected

Conflict between Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat

We have experienced that issues may occur when different Adobe products (in particular Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat) are installed together on same workstation.

Each version, for example, brings it's own Adobe plugin to Internet Explorer.


It is therefore possible that the previously described verification where not performed with the Adobe product used by your browser to display PDF forms

In these cases, we invite you to correct this problem by acting directly on the plugins options of Internet Explorer.


Solving Method

  • In Internet Explorer, display the add-ons through Tools > Manage add-ons menu
  • In Show listbox on left side of screen, select All add-ons item
  • Find section related to Adobe modules

Only Adobe PDF Reader module is needed.

  • Disable all modules except the latter as explained below.

If several modules are available, only keep one with version at least 8.1.2.
